Interfaith Shelter Network Volunteers Needed

The Interfaith Shelter Network is a nationwide, ecumenical outreach project that provides food, shelter, and job-seeking skills to homeless people in their community. POV will be assisting Nestor United Methodist Church, as they open their church for a two-week rotation from March 23rd to April 5th. Host churches need volunteers to prepare hot meals and provide overnight hosts.

Over the past 30+ years, our volunteers have not only shared delicious food, but also extended their hand of friendship and love to people not so different from ourselves. We (Bev and Susan) will be helping Nestor UMC with an overnight stay on Wednesday, March 27th, and are looking for other folks who might want to be an overnight host. We welcome anyone who would like to help provide a hot meal for 15 people on these evenings. Please notify Susan Namba if you would like to help!
