Storefront Youth Emergency Shelter is the only emergency shelter for youth in San Diego, helping youth who do not have a safe place to live or are victims of physical or sexual abuse, neglect or exploitation. POVUCC supports Storefront guests and volunteers by providing a meal on the 2nd Thursday of each month. As of July 2024, the guidelines for providing meals have changed. Volunteers can prepare and deliver a home-cooked meal, order food to be delivered, or provide $150 in Vons/Albertsons gift cards for volunteers to purchase food (must be delivered at least two days in advance).
