Shrove Tuesday Pancake Dinner

On Tuesday, February 16 at 6:30 p.m., we will gather together virtually to observe Shrove Tuesday (Fat Tuesday/Mardi Gras). Join us for a fun time sharing pancakes and conversation. This is your opportunity to indulge the night before the start of Lent (Ash Wednesday). The tradition dates back to 600AD when meat and animal products were banned during Lent.  Christians made pancakes to use up all their “unhealthy” items (butter, eggs, milk, sugar) in the kitchen pantry in advance of the observance of Lent. ALL ARE WELCOME!!!

If you signed up for the Lent-in-a-Box resources, you will find the pancake mix included in your resource bag. If you did not sign up for the Lent-in-a-Box resources, feel free to use your favorite pancake recipe and cook up your own batch. Finally, in the event that you're not a big fan of pancakes, don't let this stop you from attending! Feel free to munch on whatever food or drink that you desire. Hope to see you there!
