The POVUCC Board of Christian Education is proud to offer faith-based anti-racism lessons to help families learn about and discuss what is truly in God’s heart regarding race and racism. Two different lesson packets have been created: one for younger children and the other created for older kids. Each packet contains six lessons that address God’s love for diversity, what it means to be a Christian living in a diverse world and the importance of spreading a message of acceptance and hope to all people. Lessons include a central message, scripture verses, questions to spark discuss, an activity such as viewing a video or craft project and a moment for prayer. It is our hope that you will share these lessons with your children, grandchildren and other young people in your life. Lesson packets can be downloaded from the POVUCC Virtual Prayground page at: http://povucc.org/virtual-prayground/. Special thanks to Kenya Bohn and Jilly Kodama for the many hours spent creating these important lessons.
