Improve Sound in the Sanctuary through Art

In order to improve the sound quality in the sanctuary, we are going to weave a giant sound absorbing tapestry! The design of the tapestry will be a gigantic rainbow hanging on the east-facing wall at the ceiling height. In addition to being functional, the rainbow will be a beautiful reminder of our commitment to welcoming LGBTQIA2S+ individuals and celebrating God's love for all.

Please look around and see if you have red, orange, yellow, green, blue, or purple fabric to donate! We will be cutting the fabric into strips (12-36" long) and weaving it into netting. Fabric with a design on it (words, floral, graphic, etc.) or just solid colors are fine. Bed sheets (washed) are also fine too. Heavier fabric (velvet or velour) and normal lightweight fabric both work. Please put the fabric in our bin in the church sanctuary before Pride Sunday, July 16, which is when we will all weave it together!
