CCSA continues to operate mostly without volunteers. The staff is fatigued but is working to serve the community in need. Donations from the grocery stores have been, understandably, down this week. On Friday afternoon, they are almost totally out of produce, and have distributed all of the commodities on hand. They have urgent calls in to the Food Banks for produce, pasta, oatmeal, and dried beans. They anticipate that they will need to start buying food for distribution next week. Donations, financial and food, would be greatly welcomed. Knowing that orders have been issued to "shelter in place," CCSA's expects that they will be deemed an "essential service" and remain open for as long as they have supplies and staff.
