  • Registration is open for Summer Camp at Pilgrim Pines, located in Oak Glen in the foothills of the San Bernardino Mountains. The camp offers uniquely “blended” programming – traditional camp experiences, as well as simultaneous intergenerational camps, and special needs camping for the developmentally disabled. This year’s theme is “Peace Works: Empowering the Next Generation of Peacemakers!” Go to www.pilgrimpinescamp.org to learn more and to register.

  • Next Sunday, May 12th at 8:30am POV MEN will cook and serve a hearty breakfast to ALL MEMBERS & FRIENDS of POVUCC. For the men of POV, help us celebrate Mothers everywhere by cooking, serving, and cleaning up. No sign-up necessary. Bring your apron and come join the camaraderie. Arrive 8:00. For all generous POV congregants, help us defray the cost of our Mother’s Day Breakfast by dropping a little cash in the Donation Jar on the Sign-Up Table in Fellowship Hall. Thank you, thank you! (There will be no Toban lunch after Worship Service).


  • BoCE will be hosting a Family Night complete with Taiko drums on The Point on Friday, May 24th. Join us as we enjoy another opportunity to mix and mingle with the Apple Preschool families. Additional details to be announced later.


  • The Japanese American Community Interfaith Memorial Day Service will be held on Monday, May 27th at 9:30 am at Mount Hope Cemetery – in the Japanese section (located at 3751 Market St., San Diego). Please join us as we join with other churches and organizations in the San Diego community for this special Memorial Day service. This is an opportunity to remember those in our community who served in the military and passed away since last May. There will be chairs provided as usual, but feel f
