  • Next Sunday, January 21st, we welcome our Strategic Planning Consultant, Rev. Mary Scifres, to the pulpit. Rev. Scifres is a United Methodist pastor and a national consultant in the areas of church leadership and visioning, worship, and evangelism. Please join us next Sunday for an uplifting and worshipful service.

  • Sunday, January 28, we will hold our Annual Congregational Meeting at 11:00 am immediately following the worship service. We will elect new church officers and board members, approve the budget for 2018, and approvechanges to the Bylaws and the Safe Church Policy. We invite you all to attend. The 2017 Annual Reports will be available next Sunday, January 21 on the table in the Sanctuary entrance.

Thank you for attending this important meeting. Our Fellowship Hour lunch will immediately follow the meeting.

  • A special offering will be collected for the UCC Christmas Fund during our worship services on Christmas Eve, December 24th. The Christmas Fund offering will be used to help servants of the church who have insufficient income in retirement, retirees who need help affording health insurance premiums, or persons who find themselves in emergency situations that require swift assistance. It also supports a long-standing tradition of providing “thank you” checks to retired clergy who would otherwise be without funds during this time of year – a modest but tangible affirmation that their wider church family continues to love them and be grateful for their service. The needs of those who serve the church are real & we are working to ensure that no one goes without.

  • On December 15th, the Partnership Youth groups will be joining to celebrate Christmas a little early with a white elephant gift exchange, pizza, games and midnight broomball at Kensington UCC! Please RSVP to Sarah Howell.

  • Please join us for one or both of our Christmas Eve worship services on December 24th. At 10:00 am, we will be treated to a wonderful Christmas Cantata during worship service. Then at 5:30, join us for a Christmas Eve Candlelight service. After the morning worship on Christmas Eve, we will not have our usual Fellowship Hour lunch. As an option, please join your church friends for lunch at Souplantation in Kearney Mesa. Sign up sheet on the bulletin board.
