  • On Saturday, December 9, here at church, the Women's Fellowship will be hosting a Christmas Brunch for both women and men as a way of saying "thank you" for your time and support providing lunch for Fellowship Hour each Sunday. The brunch wil be a catered affair with singing - lots of singing! Doors open at 9:30 am. Tickets are $15. Please see Terri Arakawa, Laura Iori or Louise Iguchi.

  • This year, in lieu of Toys for Tots, the Elderberries will collect items for our homeless brothers and sisters. Help keep them warm and dry during the winter months by bringing new or gently used MEN’S shoes (preferably closed toe or sneakers) and men’s and women’s new or gently used jackets. The shoes will be donated to Chula Vista’s Sharp Hospital, and jackets will go to Uptown Community Service Center. Collection boxes will be in the narthex. Thank you for your kind support!

  • The Advent season is  the special time of year when we anticipate the birth of Jesus Christ. Just like at home, we will decorate our sanctuary for this meaningful season in the life of the church. On Sunday, November 26 after Fellowship Hour, please stay and join us as we put up our Advent decorations. Your help is appreciated.

  • Don’t forget that the second rehearsal for the Christmas Cantata will be on Saturday, November 18 from 9:00 am – 12 pm! Please make sure you put these other rehearsal dates on your calendar leading to the performance on Sunday, December 24:
    Wednesday, December 20 from 6:30 – 8:30 pm
    Saturday, December 23 from 9 am – 12 pm

    Sunday, December 24 - be at church by 9:00 am

  • On Sunday, November 19th, we will have our Thanksgiving Sunday POTLUCK luncheon following the worship service. There is a sign-up sheet posted on the hallway bulletin board - please bring your favorite dish to share with your church family and friends. (Please use disposable containers so that clean-up wil be minimal). Let's enjoy and celebrate our many blessings together!

  • Women's Fellowship will offer fun hula lessons on Sundays in November and December. Stay tuned for the exact start and end dates. The format will be similar to last year - lessons will be held every Sunday at 11:30 am for about 30 minutes. Hula class members will give a special performance during worship service on December 17!
