Andy Mathews would love to say thank you to each and every person who came to support him and the San Diego Gay Men’s Chorus for their Divas! Concert on July 29 & 30. Almost one-third of this congregation came out, and Andy was overwhelmed by the love he felt from your support! Thank you for your mission to be open, affirming, and supportive. So many guys in the chorus heard Andy tell the story that one-third of our church attended this concert and it means so much to them that the churches here in San Diego are so supportive. Thank you for who you are and your amazing open arms. Andy is most grateful to serve alongside such incredible people.

Hello everyone!

It is with a heavy heart that I write this Elderberries update. We lost a long-time friend and member, Grace Honda, last month. Her absence in service on August 20th was palpable. We continue to hold Cyndee Cultice in our prayers, following the passing of her mom, Ginger Child. These recent losses accentuate the need for continued attention to our seniors.

Women’s Fellowship will gather in the Fellowship Hall for their next Happi Coat Sewing Workshop on Saturday, September 2 from 9:00 am – 1:00 pm (lunch included). Please RSVP to Laura Iori either at lauraiori9@gmail.com or (619) 838-3385 so that she can get a headcount for lunch.

Thinking about the perfect gift for someone in 2017? There is still plenty of room to have a brick paver dedication on “The Point” (the outdoor area at our church). The West section is completed, but the North section in front of the Japanese garden is half-full.
