University City UCC has invited us to join their CPR/AED training class on Saturday, November 19, 2022, from 9AM to 1 PM. The cost is $55/person, and is first come, first served. Please notify Susan Namba (rknamba@cox.net) as soon as possible if you are interested!
On Sunday, November 20, we will gather in Fellowship Hall for a Thanksgiving Potluck. Please join us as we celebrate God's generous gifts to our church and congregation! POVUCC will provide roast turkey and sliced ham. We ask that attendees bring a side dish, salad, or dessert and tell us how many people are in your party. Please save the date on your calendars for another wonderful luncheon and good time at the Brigantine La Mesa on Tuesday, December 13 at 11:30 AM. You will have a choice of 3 entrees which don't have to be chosen ahead of time. Cost is $25 per person which includes tax and tip. This is about half the cost which will be offset by the Asakawa fund. Menu choices will include lobster tacos, pork chops and salmon, soup or salad, dessert and beverages (soda, tea, coffee). The Choir is practicing from 8:30-9:30 every Sunday morning. We are singing this Sunday for All Saints Sunday and will sing again for Thanksgiving Sunday on November 20! All are welcome! Contact Chad Kemp or Susan Namba if you have any questions.
Once again USD Fraternity Guys will come help us on Saturday, November 12th, 8:30-noon to do whatever needs doing, the tougher the better!!
